Titles

2010 BTCC Independent Champion, 2017 BTCC Independent Champion

Nordschleifering. It’s the hardest, fastest, most technical and longest track in the world with blind corners.

Top BTCC memory

My first-ever BTCC race in 2002 on the Brands Hatch GP circuit. I was 18 days past turning 17 and hadn’t even driven on the road yet. I ran around the circuit for the first time the night before, I didn’t even know where the GP circuit went. I qualified well, got a great start and hit off Reid and Harvey before overtaking Yvan Muller as his left tyre exploded! I finished third overall and made the podium alongside Matt Neal and Dan Eaves.

Top BTCC memory

First–up, would be being awarded the Jack Sears Trophy in my maiden season, from Jack himself who had always been an inspiration. Closely followed by my second ever BTCC qualifying session at Donington Park in 2015 - I achieved P6 and it was my first taste of achievement in the BTCC.

It has to be my first-ever BTCC race. It was childhood dream come true. Coming through the pack from 24th to 12th on slicks in the wet was incredible. A real baptism of fire!
